I wouldn't consider this "easy". I figured out though how to continue after the 8th round and have it come out right but i've made a TON of beanies. 9th round 6 sc (1 per stitch) then 2 sc in 1 stitch repeat to end of row, slip stitch at the end (48)/round 10 1 sc per stitch around, slip stitch at the end/round 11 7 sc (one per stitch) 2 sc in 1 stitch repeat around, slip stitch at the end (54)/round 12 1 sc in each stitch, slip stitch at the end/round 13 8 sc (one in each stitch) 2 sc in 1 stitch repeat around, slip stitch at the end (60). pick up pattern where it says "next round" after attaining 60 stitches around.

My oldest grandson recently moved from sunny Arizona to take a job near the Pine Ridge reservation in the Dakotas. This was his first winter there, so I knew he would really be feeling it. I worked this up using the Lion Brand Wool Ease since I figured that would be just about the warmest I could find. He loved the set, but being a boy, hes already lost the scarf.

I really like the look of the stitch pattern for the scarf I'm making for my son's birthday. I am using a chunky weight alpaca blend yarn and the openness of the pattern lends itself well to it. Thanks!
