Eternal Cable Scarf (Male Version)
"This is the male version of my Eternal Cable Scarf - a warm and fashionable neck wear for gentlemen. I designed it with solid cable stitches, silver accented dark color wool blended worsted weight yarn to create a sturdy and posh look. It's a fairly easy crochet project when you're used to cable stitches. In case you're not very familiar with crochet cables, I suggest that you read the Special Stitches section carefully. This mannish crochet scarf would be a great gift for any occasion."

Whats the finished length? The pattern says 180m which is equivalent to almost 600 feet.

Hi MissouriDebbie, sorry for the confusion! There was a typo in the pattern, and the finished length is actually approximately 1.8 meters long, or around 70 inches. I hope this helps! - Laura, editor of AllFreeCrochet

I already have the Womens version of this scarf, so I was waiting for the designer to post this companion piece. Just looking at a side by side comparison, the Female version is narrower, with a thinner center cable motif and fewer raised bars along the sides. Other than that, theyre identical, so if youve worked one, you shouldnt have any problem working the other.

This Eternal Cable Scarf looks like it is knitted but it's crocheted. I love it when smart crafters can make patterns like this. I'll be making this one for sure for my hubby. This scarf is so stylish and I like the picture showing how to have him wear it. The written pattern is well done and easy to follow and there are well written direction on how to make the cables. The crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). Always messes me up on my count and I never get a even crochet item. Is there a trick to doing this? I know this make the item look better with no holes at the ends but it just messes me up. Any help with this would be so nice. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet scarf pattern.
