Ive worked with the Lion Brand Homespun and havent really had a problem seeing my stitches. I do have problems with other brands, but its usually due to inadequate lighting and working a dark yarn against a dark background. I am confused about one of her instructions though. Do you work the Back Loop Only for the entire pattern or just on the first Chain 3?

I have a smaller head, usually wearing a 21" hat or even a tad smaller. this 'tween hat seems like it would be good for me! THere are some great color combinations you can find with this yarn. Personally, I would leave the embellishment off, but that is just me. I might put a chunky button, though! Easy to construct with a basic increasing half-double crochet in the round.
