Crochet Popsicle Holders
"It is hot, and that means Popsicle weather! Keep those hands from freezing with crochet popsicle holders. These popsicle koozies are perfect for summertime fun! I suggest using 100% cotton yarn to create these fun freeze pop holders. Reasons why are located in the post. The bottom measures approx. 1.75 inches and they are 5 inches tall when flattened. Crochet Hook Size is a G or 4.00mm. A printable version of the pattern is available if you would like one."

We do not buy these popsicles in our house, but I think these popsicle holders are a great idea! So many people with children would love these holders, to keep their hands safe from getting too cold! I wonder if this would also keep the popsicle cold for a little longer.

This must be the Project of the Summer because Ive seen so many different variations on the Popsicle holder theme. This designer makes some very valid points when it comes to using cotton versus acrylic yarns. I like that this version has an actual bottom and is large enough to accommodate the Giant Freezy Pops. Looks a little like a lightsaber, doesnt it?

What a brilliant idea. The kids are always complaining that their hands are freezing when eating their freeze pops so I usually just wrap a paper towel around them when I pass them out. This reusable idea will save money in the long run because the paper towels are for one use then get tossed in the trash.
