Aunt Norni's Shell Mini Afghan
"A simple design makes crocheting this mini afghan quick and easy. No need for a border as it is crocheted right into the design. When completed there are shells all around. My mother-in-law used to crochet this pattern as full sized baby afghans. It was her go-to pattern on days when she couldn't follow directions. She always said she didn't have to think when making it. I re-designed it into a mini-afghan to include in my Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. A little something for comfort for a child in crisis."
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Aunt Norni sounds like an amazing woman, and you all were so lucky to have her in your life. Im sure shed be pleased that her generous spirit continues to carry on through your family! Our local police and rescue squads keep small stuffed animals to comfort children in crisis situations. I think Ill ask about donating some of these, too.

I love the idea of making this 12" x 15" Aunt Norni's Shell Mini Afghan. After reading the written pattern this should work up quickly. I love the idea of making a bunch of these to take to my local hospital for the premey ward. I can see this done in a variety of colors and it will be a nice gift for any new mom or even used as a baby doll blanket. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet afghan pattern.
