For me, this would definitely be time consuming as it is worked in the round instead of back and forth rows. I have not worked a shawl in this fashion before, so if I decide to take this on, it will prove to be quite interesting to say the least. I think the yarn choice is beautiful, both in fiber content and color choice.

This is a beautiful and tranquil wrap. It is only available to view as a free PDF download from the Crochet Kim blog as Caron no longer has it available on their website. I am passing on downloading the PDF as I like to view patterns before I save them onto my computer. Not really sure how difficult this pattern would be, but it is very pretty.

I can't find the pattern! I get a "404 Not Found" message every time. Can anyone post another link?

I gave up on the foundation single crochet and just used a chain. The pattern is easy to follow but I'm not that happy with the ends. They got bunched up a bit. Doesn't affect the wearing and no one but me notices.

This is a beautiful wrap. However, I am having trouble figuring out the mod-sc. I have tried a few different ways and don't think it is working for me. Are there any youtube tutorials that I can access?

It is also called the foundation single crochet. It allows you to skip making the chains. I can never get it right either so I just make one more chain than what the pattern calls for and make the single crochet row before I start the first row of the pattern. There are several YouTube videos for foundation single, half-double, and double crochets. http://youtu.be/oZrabIcA8C8

There is a great vest on the cover of Crochet! Magazine's special offering called Easy, No-Sew Crochet. It is a longer vest. The front hangs about thigh length in points. Shorter in the back. The magazine was a little pricey, $10, but there were SEVERAL beautiful patterns I would like to make so I thought it would be worth it. You may have to look for it asap, I just saw the label says display until April 21, 2010. Good luck!
