    Crochet Wave Stitch

    Easy Crochet Wave Stitch Tutorial

    Worked over a multiple of 8 +2 sts.

    1. Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, *1 sc in next ch, 1 hdc in next ch, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch, 1 hdc next ch, 1 sc in each of next 2 ch; rep from * across, turn.

    2. Row 2: ch 1 (counts as first sc), 1 sc in each st across.

    3. Row 3: ch 3 (counts as first dc), *1 dc in next st, 1 hdc next st, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, 1 hdc next st, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts; rep from * across, ending with last dc in top of turning ch, turn.

    4. Row 4: rep row 2.

    This stitch is what I use on one of my popular hats. If I can give a little plug here, its called Brainwave and its available here on AllFreeCrochet. Granted its a bit more complicated working in the round as opposed to this swatch, so if you want to give it a try, this is a great little practice piece. It looks great switching colors every two rows.
