This is a nice idea. Perhaps between friends, whoever holds this crochet wine bottle cozy is responsible for bringing the wine to the next function.

This project calls for very little yarn and quite simple to make. Instead of purchasing a gift bag for your wine to present to your host or hostess, this is the way to go. I like to arrive with a little something to show thanks and bringing a nice bottle of wine in this will surely be appreciated by the host or hostess.

I make these up every Christmas or special occasion. They are a great alternative to wrapping paper or disposable gift bags. The person receiving it can use it over and over again for whatever purpose they like. I have made them to go over wine bottles, Torani syrups, water bottles, thermoses, etc. Everyone I have made them for seems to like them. You can decorate them any way you like, so adding a personal touch is a breeze!

I used this pattern as the base of my doctor who inspired wine bottle cozy! No problems at all. It worked up really fast and fit the bottle perfectly! I always recommend this pattern to people who ask for a wine bottle cozy. It's my go to for sure! Thanks again !!

I make something similar for my Starbucks cups to help retain the heat in the winter(also to protect my hand), but it also works to keep my cold drinks cold and reduce the sweating in the summer.

Great idea to use for water bottles too. Out here in the desert, we carry them everywhere. Make them in your friends' favorite colors--team or school colors would be great.
