Flowers for a Granny Square
"This is a beginner crochet pattern for a flower that can be used on granny squares or cushions, among other items. I've used 8 ply wool, or light worsted but you can use what you're most comfortable with. 3 colors are required for the pattern. I used a 2.5mm crochet hook, scissors, a darning needle, sewing needle and thread to stitch on the leaves. There is also a free video tutorial available for the pattern as well."

This pattern confused me a little bit. While the designer presents very clear instructions and photos for creating the dimensional flower and leaves, I was expecting her to go on and form the rest of the Granny Square around it. I skimmed through the embedded video, too, but it also ends right where the instructions do, i.e. with attaching the leaves to the back of the flower.
