What an easy and inexpensive way to upgrade an inexpensive piece of footwear. I know I can find these at the local dollar store and the flowers can be made from scraps of yarn. Great idea!

Great idea Lorene! The suggestion to add a snap to the flower so that the flowers are interchangeable is genius. So now you can have even more color choices. You just stretched out the price of the project even more!

Living near the beach in Florida, flip flops are the staple around here. Everybody owns at least one pair of flip flops. This is a super idea to help spruce up a boring pair of Dollar Store finds. This is a very inexpensive way to give them a facelift because we go through so many pairs we dont pay much for them to begin with.

Summer will be here before I know it, and my granddaughters practically live in their flippies. What a fun idea to embellish them with these easy little flowers. The author gives the pattern for four different sizes of this basic flower, plus a very nice photo step by step of how to crochet over the thong strap itself. This forms a base to attach the flower, so they should be fairly secure once completed. Washable, too!
