Joey Bailey loves crafting. She has a wonderful husband and 3 beautiful kids who are growing up way too fast. They keep her very busy, but she tries to carve out what bits of time she can for some creativity.

Joey also loved sharing what she made and learned. Her blog gives her the opportunity to do that. She can share what she made, why, and how. Her first love is crochet; her grandmother taught her how when she was young, and it was a gift more precious than gold. After years of crocheting from patterns, Joey is am attempting to create her own.

In this pattern, I counted the 2 skipped chain stitches as a half-double crochet stitch. So, you should have 28 half-double crochet stitches plus the chain 2.

Hello, I am excited to make the color block afghan, but when I chain my 31, turn and go to the third chain from the hook, my end result is 28 dhc not the 29 the pattern said I should. Help!
