"All you need is one ball of Caron Cakes Yarn and a 5 mm hook (and a toggle or button) and you can crochet up this pretty bag! This bag includes an optional inside pocket too - so you can put your smaller items (like your phone or keys) into the pocket! I have included diagrams, and helpful directional drawings for the construction process and I have filmed a stitch pattern video tutorial to help with the flowery insert section. If you do not like the flowery part you can easily omit it and work 3 rounds of hdc instead. If you have more than 1 ball of Caron Cakes, you can make this bag larger for a tote bag and the strap longer, quite easily!"

This crossbody bag has such a sweet disposition to it. There's a definite hint of Boho here! I've been wanting to try one of the self striping cake yarns and it looks like this is my perfect opportunity. It's great that it's designated "easy" too! I love the hot links the artist sprinkles throughout the pattern. It's such an interactive website. I can see blueberry shortcake for a beach bag or rainbow sprinkles for a fun pop everyday bag.

I was so happy to see this project! I bought a few self-striping cake yarns on sale but didnt particularly want to make scarves from them. This bag is just what Ive been looking for. The pattern couldnt be easier, and the designer gives you suggestions about adapting the project to your personal tastes. That optional little interior pocket is the perfect place for your keys, wallet, etc.
