I am always amazed at how creative the designers are who make it to the pages of AllFreeCrochet! This little crossbody bag is a perfect example. Creativity with how the bag is worked, and even more creativity in finding the unique findings to decorate the bag. By the way, if you want REALLY sturdy D rings, I found some inexpensive ones at a saddle and bridle shop. Found some nice conchos to use for buttons, too.

The texture of this mini cross body bag comes from the fpdc (or front post double crochet) which works up to look similar to a knit stitch. You will find that once you learn this stitch you probably will be wanting to use it for lots of your cowl neck scarves, sweaters, and even your afghans. This bag is special to me. It is so sweet and pretty for a young girl AND a grown mama!

What cute little cross body bags and, because they are so colorful and look like such fun, I am thinking of making them for all the beautiful young girls in our family. I love the ribbed look and I also have so many left over yarns from previous projects. Also the pattern is rated EASY which I always like as a simple thing to crochet in the evenings after work.
