"Grab & Go Market or Beach Bag free crochet pattern. So happy with the final result of Grab & Go Market or Beach Bag. This pattern is easy and fast to crochet. And it’s also great for taking to the beach. The stitch pattern I used in this bag just likes granny stitch in rows but it’s not like that. Gauge is not very important for this project. You can select any #3 #4 cotton yarn."
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge16 dc x 7 rows = 4” with 5mm crochet hook
Finished Size9.5” wide and 13” tall without handles
Materials List
- (C1) cotton yarn approx: 150 yards.
- (C2) cotton yarn approx: 75 yards.

This is a great bag for the market. What I like best is how small it squishes down to. I do shop at a few stores that require you to either bring your own bags or purchase theirs, so I normally keep a stash in my car so Im ready to go. For my purposes I like to use Caron One Pound because its such a sturdy yarn.

When we get the family all together to go to the beach it is a must for each of our family member to have his or her own bag. This is the perfect size bag so I am hoping that I can make four of these in time for the first trip to the beach. Now, each can carry and be responsible for their own belongings.

The perfect grab bag for those trips to the local farmers market or just the market itself. I like to use reusable bags in an effort to help save the planet. I have a great stash already, but I have noticed some of them are ready to be replaced. Sometimes the groceries can reek havoc on a bag and this would be the right time to make a few new bags to replace those that are really just about to give in the the wear.
