Weekend Bucket Bag
"The Weekend Bucket Bag was inspired by Lion Brand’s Jeans yarn - check out that front pocket! It’s just the right size for most phones, and we all need a big pocket for those these days! The base of the bag is reinforced with plastic canvas, which is a great item to use for crochet projects like this - you can cut it to any size, it’s inexpensive, and it’s washable! Here, it helps the Weekend Bucket Bag hold its shape, and makes the bottom of the bag that much stronger - so you can fill it up and head out for a weekend of fun! This bag is really cute! I love the rope strap and the tassel. The pocket on the front really adds to it too. I often use plastic canvas in my crochet projects, so I always have it on hand. It really helps to keep the shape of the bottom of the bag, and to help prevent sagging. I dont have a craft shop nearby that I can get a purse handle like that from, but it looks like something I could likely make with a bit if effort. I will have to try this on the weekend!

I learned something here. I never thought to use plastic canvas sheets as a sturdy liner for the I leaned something new here. I learned that I can use canvas plastic sheets as a sturdy liner for the bottom of a tote bag. Seems pretty genius to me! The modern looking bag uses the new Jeans yarn, of which there are many patterns popping up all over the place.

I love that big front pocket. It will certainly keep your phone from falling to the bottom of your bag and getting lost in there. Reinforcing the base of the bag with plastic canvas is a wonderful idea. I have several sheets of plastic canvas lying around and dont know why I havent thought of useful ways to use them like this bag does.
