"The Bicycle Tote is a fun and free crochet pattern that invokes images of sun and summer. This is a sturdy tote that can be used as a purse, book bag, beach bag, or market tote. The pattern uses worsted weight yarn, and there are written detailed instructions for both the right handed and left handed crocheter, as well as instructions for lining the tote. The design of this tote is clean, simple, and stylish."

This really is the ultimate bike bag, isnt it? Rather than cross stitching the bike on the bag, its worked as part of the bag itself. The designer goes to a great deal of trouble to list the color changes stitch by stitch and row by row, but it would be even better if there was an actual chart as well. I might want to copy this onto a pillow, too!

I like this for a market bag. I can picture a bouquet of lilacs or tulips sticking out the top. The way the pattern is written, row by row, listing how many single crochets are worked in any of the two given colors- it makes working with more than one color continuously without binding off pretty doable!

If you are in to cycling then this is the tote bag for you. I have not noticed, but the designer says that bikes have popped up on a lot of different items recently. Instructions for this bag are given in both right hand and left hand versions which you dont see very often. The bike motif is made into the bag as you crochet.
