"This crocheted tote is a perfect size to stash towels, magazine, lunch or whatever you want to fill it with. The tighter stitch pattern means you don’t have to worry about losing hooks, pencils or other small items out the sides. If you’re looking for the perfect anytime tote, this is definitely it. This lovely everyday crochet bag is really quick and easy to make and also make a great little gift. The crochet tote pattern may look complicated upon first glance but you’ll soon see that you’re just repeating the same steps only with different colored yarn and works up rather quickly. Use it as a market tote to carry all of your groceries or as the perfect beach tote."

NotesThe Aligned cobble stitch is worked in rows of 2. Watch for turning and color changes, ch 3 in round 2 counts as dc.

What an easy and different stitch! It gives a nicer close stitch. You almost wouldn't need to line it. But I line all of my purses because I like to add pockets on the in side.this is going on my to do list and hopefully I will have it done by the holidays to give as gifts.

This tote is actually large enough to hold enough to make it worth the effort. The bottom is worked similarly to a bootie sole (chain, then work both sides of the chain without turning), and then Single Crochet up to where the Cobble Stitch texture begins. I love the clean look of this texture, and how the color bands are separated by the Single Crochet. Crocheting over rope to form the handles finishes the polished look, too.

I really like the look of this neutral striped tote bag. It looks fairly sizeable without being too, too large and cumbersome. I prefer my straps to NOT be crocheted, and to be these nylon straps or leather straps/handles. The handles carry the full weight of the bag's contents, and crocheted handles just don't cut it in my opinion, unless it is just for a grocery market bag design.
