Giraffes became super popular last year thanks to April and the long, long wait for her to drop her calf. While April didnt seem to mind the wait, I went almost 2 weeks overdue with twins, so I could relate! These adorable toys have that same lanky leg appeal as her eventual baby. Im more of a traditionalist, so I prefer the yellow one. Check out her other patterns, too. That little octopus was a hit with my niece!

Amigurumi is my new favorite thing to do and this Friendly Giraffe is so cute I have already started making him. I love that they are usually quite quick to make and, although they can be a little fussy when putting them together, I just love when they are finished. Fortunately there are quite a number of little ones in my circle of family and friends at the moment so there is no shortage of children for me to make them for, lol!
