Put on your Awesome Mix Vol. 1, grab your crochet hook, and crochet yourself your very own baby Groot. This adorable Free Crochet Groot Pattern was inspired by the 2014 summer blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy. Whether or not you've seen the film, it's impossible to resist this cute little dancing tree. In addition to worsted weight yarn and embroidery thread, you'll also need pipe cleaners, safety eyes, stuffing, and of course, a small pot to complete this crocheted Groot. Make one for yourself and also make one for a friend -- everyone needs a dancing Groot in their life!

Some people just have all of the talent and are able to sit down and create a work of art like this. I wish I were one of them, but I am not. So, I just admire all the talented people and their accomplishments via the internet. I am so glad that they share their talents with us. I love this piece.

One of my husbands guilty pleasures is the Guardians of the Galaxy. This adorable Baby Groot is going to have pride of place on his desk. It will be the perfect Dads Day gift! The project itself isnt difficult, and the designer gives plenty of photos and useful tips describing the assembly. I love the sweet little face, too. Who can resist?

I have never heard of this but it sure is cute. I bet if I make a couple my grand kids would really like them. They would know him. I already know more than any 66 year old lady should about Pokemon , teenage mutant ninja turtles and mine craft. But that's a grandmas job!
