Flamingo Friend
"Aren't Flamingos so darn cute?! My daughter is completely in love with them. The more I thought about making one, the more excited I became with the possibilities! This Flamingo Friend, made with Bernat Blanket yarn, is plush, soft, and super cute! It measures 13 inches tall by 8.75 inches from the front of the body to the back. The fun dangling legs are 9.5 inches long. My daughter was very excited about adding it to her collection!"

When ever I get to go to the zoo, I love to stop by the area where there are flamingos. I am told that the color pink has something to do with the food that they eat. Typically, they are not this pretty pink and that is a shame. Having this little baby, he will always be a true pink flamingo color.

I am telling my age when I tell you that I can remember the plastic flamingos out on the lawns. It has been a long while since I have seen those. Perhaps it is the area in which I live in. At any rate, my Mom had a pair planted in the front yard when I was growing up. This is not the same thing but I love this stuffed flamingo just a little better. He can come along instead of standing out in the yard all alone.

Just when I thought it was safe to go looking thru your site again, this pops out at me. I live in Florida and believe it or not these are not seen very often. When I did a quick glance I thought it said Flamingo Fred. But my grand daughter wants me to add a rhinestone necklace so maybe Fredrika?

Oh my Gosh, How cute! I so have to make a few of these cute Flamingo Friends.. My sister lives in Florida and she loves flamingos and I'm sure she would loves this. I like the idea of using a wood rod to make the neck stiffer. The pattern is well written and for me it's a must make. It says it 13 inches tall, is that sitting or standing? Anyways, thank you so much for sharing this cute crochet flamingo pattern.

Bigger than I expected it to be! That is a good thing -) Am I the only one who hasn't used the Bernat Blanket yarn yet? The little girl in the photo looks like she has fallen in love. The flamingo will be made in several different pieces then sewn together and stuffed, of course.

I have the perfect spot for this happy fellow. I love wind chimes, and I saw an idea for one that looks like an old fashioned wooden tree swing. I already have everything ready to assemble the chime, and wont this flamingo look grand perched on top? Since hes so articulated, Ill cross his legs and attach his wingtips to the ropes. Now, if I can just find a tiny pair of sunglasses!
