Banjo the Woodland Owl
"'Owl would you like to crochet this sweet little amigurumi owl? This little owl is made in a few pieces: body, head, wings, tail and feet. All quick and easy! He is made with 4 ply cotton yarns, a 2.5mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, and you will also need scissors, and a darning needle. Note for the body of my owl I used a variegated cream and brown cotton yarn which gave a nice mottled finish. But you can use a soft beige, or cream or whatever you wish."
Crochet HookB/1 or 2.25 mm hook
Yarn Weight(2) Fine (23-26 stitches to 4 inches)
Finished Size10-13cm high

Ill have to add this perky little fellow to my owl collection! Hes small, easy to work up, and the designer takes you step by step through the entire process, so no excuses! You can make Banjo up in more naturalistic colors, or go wild and make him truly a scrap buster. You can alter Banjos size by going up or down a hook size, so make a whole family!

I have seen a lot of amigurumi patterns lately. They must really be all the rage currently, but so far I have not jumped on that band wagon. Owls also seem to have increased in popularity or they are just getting a lot of exposure recently as I dont remember seeing owls so often. Great pattern.
