Baby Octopus Crochet Amigurumi
"This sweet plush is great for babies or for anyone that likes sea creatures! The versatility of this pattern makes it easily adaptable to any color scheme that is desired. Originally made as part of a baby shower gift, this plush uses Bernat Sport yarn and Bernat Softee yarn. Use a 3.75mm crochet hook to make sure no stuffing escapes later!"

This has to be one of the easiest Amigurumi patterns to make. This would be a great baby shower gift for a boy or a girl. Making the "soles" of the tentacles in different colors is a great way to insure it is a unisex toy. However, if the sex of the baby is know you can adjust that to be gender specific. Either way, this is a great toy and a great beginner project.

This is a sweet little toy. Its simplicity just adds to its charm. One major change Ill make is to the faceI would like more expression than what the designer uses. I also love how each leg has a different pastel colored foot, although you could crayon box colors instead, or make each foot the same color. The pattern is easy to follow and the designer includes a few photos to guide the crafter.

The other day I was surfing the web and found a picture of an octopus baby toy, it reminded me of the one that I got for my youngest son when he was born he never went anywhere without that toy. I thought to myself that I wanted to crochet one and have been looking for the pattern. I am definitely trying this one out!
