Aurora the Unicorn
"With her rainbow hair and golden horn, Aurora the rainbow unicorn is a bright and fun gift for any little girl. I started by creating all of the body pieces and assembling everything but the wings. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to include the wings or not, so I made them and waited until the end to attach them. For the hair, I used little bonbons of acrylic yarn. Basically, I attached each strand of hair as a tassel on the head and then I brushed the yarn out until it was fluffy. Finally, I used a little trick I learned to make the hair fall softly and add a little bit of shine to it. I even gave Aurora a little haircut to finish! The entire process was much easier than it sounds, and it will be explained."

Technically this would be a cross between a unicorn and Pegasus, the winged horse that Perseus rode to conquer Medusa the Gorgon. But I digress. This is a cute toy and I love the gold tipped wings. Using the BonBon yarn for the tail and mane is ideal, but if youre going to make a habit of fluffing yarn, go buy a brand new slicker brush just for your crafting. Theyre not that expensive and come in a variety of sizes.
