Woodland Squirrel Granny Square
"The Woodland Squirrel Granny Square is a part of the Woodland Afghan Series by Maria's Blue Crayon. The afghan is comprised of 10 different Woodland themed squares joined with solid granny squares. The Woodland Squirrel Granny Square is a great addition to this afghan, but can be used on its own to create a squirrel themed blanket or any creation of your choice. The pattern call for safety eyes, but can be easily substituted by creating a french knot for eyes. There are two options for the tail either using fun fur yarn or worsted weighted yarn."

This is part of the designers Crochet A Long afghan project. The good news is each motif is worked separately from the square and sewn to it, which means you can use this little squirrel anywhere you would like! There arent any step by step photos, but the instructions are so simple and brief that its really not necessary. The designer is absolutely right about her source of safety eyes, too!
