Sweet Sunset Baby Blanket
"This super sweet baby blanket is fun and easy to make. A shell and post stitch pattern that can be quickly made for a great gift or blanket for your own precious angel. Using self-striping yarn makes it even easier to whip up this Sweet Sunset Baby Blanket!! It has a nice lacy effect, but still a perfect weight for wrapping a baby in!! I used Caron Cakes yarn to make this project and love working with it!"

This is absolutely beautiful and the colors are gorgeous. I usually like to block my blankets and basically all my items using the wet method since I dont have a steamer. It generally works pretty well and doesnt take too long to dry. This is a super sweet baby blanket and is easy to make. It would also work for a great gift or blanket for your own precious angel. Using self-striping yarn makes it even easier to whip up.

When first reviewing the pattern details above, it makes it seems like you will need one skein of Caron Cakes. It's actually three. You can find this on sale for $5 from time to time, so I'd say that is a very reasonable amount of money to spend on your project. I wonder if the Caron Big Cakes would do for this as well? They have many different colorways that the regular Caron Cakes. A lot more natural and not so bright, if that is your thing. A baby blanket is just as great as a lap blanket!
