The choice of this pretty blue would make it the ideal summer throw blanket along with the open weave of the design. However this beautiful beginner pattern can be created with any color and would still be a beautiful throw.

This summer throw blanket is a great free quality crochet pattern. There are not pictures in the directions but there are only four rows of crochet to master. If you can dc or double crochet you can master this pattern and make it for yourself or as a gift for a loved one.

Another very simple throw blanket in aqua. Beautiful. Very simple to make and hopefully fast, too. It already looks great in this color as is but it will also look great in other earth and vibrant colors.

For sure this is a great looking summertime throw blanket. The color turquoise is perfect! I could take it a step further and make white and turquoise stripes with it. Or add a third color- which would be a beautiful coral. It'll be a quick one to work up because it is a bulky yarn and it only uses double crochets.
