Spring Flower Granny Square
"The Spring Flower Granny Square is easy to learn with an aide of a video tutorial. This granny square can be used to make a blanket, purse, scarf, or anything you'd like it to be. The flower motif may also be used by itself without making it into a square. You will find that I made this flower granny square into a throw afghan for spring. I used a join as you go method to create the afghan which I also share how to do in a video tutorial."

Granny squares are still my favorite. I like this circle flower square. To me it looks like the flowers are almost three dimensional. This is a little larger than the average granny square so it will not be one of those squares you can easily mix with other squares. There there may lie within a challenge.

This is a pretty large granny square. The center flower has a lot of texture, it somewhat reminds me of the crocodile stitch at a distance. These squares could easily grow from a single pillow to a lapgan to a full afghan, depending on how many you want to make.

While this particular Granny project doesnt appeal to me personally, it is exactly what my senior crafters have been clamoring for. I have a few eager beavers who want to expand beyond the usual Granny. This is a great project for them as theyre all sufficiently advanced to handle this project without any problems. Theyve already worked circle to squares so this should be a cinch for them.
