GAUGE
12 sc + 13 rows = 4 in. (10 cm).
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
Note: All rnds are worked with RS always facing. Rnds 2–34 are worked in continuous rnds, and not joined at the end of each rnd. Rnds 35-46 are joined at the end of each rnd, be sure to read the instructions carefully for each rnd.

What a delightfully unusual project! If you go to the entry for this at the Lion Brand site, theres a feature that lets you magnify the photo so you can see the stitch work much easier. I love the alternating solid and open swirls. Im not thrilled with the choice of yarn color for this project though. It doesnt do the texture or the variegated yarn any favors, and I would probably have selected a solid. Be sure to download the free pattern, too.

I need another throw, afghan or blanket like I need another hole in my head. However, I do not have one in the shape of a circle so I guess I do need another one. I love this pattern and I think I will make it in colors to match my spare bedroom so that it can just lay out on the bed. Beautiful.

When I decide on a project I take in to account a few things. Being unique is surely a plus and in this case this afghan sure is unique. Then I consider how difficult the project is. This is crocheted with the basic stitches. This is surely a project I will make in the future.

I am impressed with the look of this unusual round shaped afghan. I have never made a round afghan before. The pattern reads so easily! I am actually pretty surprised at that. I would have thought that an afghan such as this would be very labor intensive! A great budget-friendly project requiring just 5 balls of yarn. Happy crocheting!

I am not seeing any pattern or pattern link for this one either. I thought that it might be my browser acting up, so I tried 2 others and still could not see a pattern or link to one. Again, I see that others have recently commented on the pattern. Where can I find it?

I just had the same thing with 4 other patterns. Some are there, some are missing. Possible a website glitch?

I have admired this over and over again. I didn't realize it was made from Lion Brand Homespun yarn. I have a hard time with that yarn. I seem to split it and get my hook all tangled up. Does anyone have any tips for this? I'm sure it would help if I watched better instead of watching TV. Thanks

Wow. I thought this was just an ordinary round afghan but when you look closely it is so stunning. The yarn used is multicolored and there is a spiral design in the middle. Thanks for the pattern which is found right on the front page.
