"This clever and easy baby blanket pattern uses simple stitch textures and color blocking to create the illusion of a military dress uniform. While it’s written for one size, you can easily adjust the size of the pattern by adding extra border rows, or simply by increasing the starting chain (in multiples of two) until the blanket is the desired width (minus the border!). This pattern makes a great charity blanket pattern for donating to the local Veteran’s hospital- I encourage you to look into donation options through your local crochet clubs!"

I have no idea about uniforms of a particular office. What I know is this is taken after one uniform, period, that they made into a crochet design. But this is cute especially the vibrant colors.

My dads side of our family has a long tradition of military service going back at least as far back as the Revolutionary War. We even have an Alamo Defender. This unique blanket looks very much like a Marine uniform, so if you do plan to donate one to a veteran, be sure that was his branch of service! But if you know any Marine parents or parents to be, they would love this as a baby blanket.

It is really just the color changes with the striping and the placement of the striping that gives this lapghan the look of a military dress/jacket/apparel. Because of this, it will allow you to customize it for any service career! What a cool and unique idea. Thanks for this!

On this is just perfect! Talk about good timing! My friends grand daughter is going to have a baby boy in January. His dad is a marine. I am going to make this for them. It's a very easy pattern so I will have it done in no time. Thank you!
