Relief Wave Crochet Stitch
"There are many variations of wavy crocheting patterns that we often use to create children’s blankets, cardigans, blouses and tops. You can learn how to crochet by the example of this one. I tested both a new wavy embossed pattern and a new yarn for myself. In the Tutorial, I started a pattern from a row of tr’s, but I think it’s better to start with a row of sc’s. As you wish. Still this pattern is beautiful, if you work it in 2 rows of different colors. Change the color at the beginning of the row which is all of treble crochets. You can try to replace tr with dc, or try to change the number of tr. This pattern – interesting mathematical task. And a wonderful result for any changes! Crochet with Fun!"

This relieve wave stitch is different from ripple or chevron stitch. I have to look at the pattern so I can study it and learn how the stitches are done. Looks like a railroad.

Wow now this one is different! I really like the look of this Relief Wave Crochet Stitch. There really isn't a written pattern for this, but a good video how to and pictures of how to crochet it with written directions on it. You can simply write out the pattern by going through the pictures. I love the color way of the yarn she used, wish I could find it. Doing a google search to see if I can buy it on-line. If not I think I can find a comparable yarn with beautiful color changes. Thank you for sharing this free crochet stitch how to..

I generally dont like anything even remotely resembling a Ripple Stitch, but I actually like this. For one thing, the waves are comprised of Triple Crochet instead of Double, and using the Front Post Singles really make that row pop. There is an instructional video, and instead of any written instructions, there is an international symbol chart (with a handy legend). The colors the designer used reminds me of a sunrise, too.
