Elephant Blanket
"Here's another one of my animal blankets. This one is a cute, free pattern for an Elephant Blanket with Hoodie. You can add an optional button to use as a cape. This blanket is made with Bernat Blanket Yarn and a 10mm hook. It's super soft, bulky and sure to keep any kid cozy and warm this fall and winter season. Plus, with using Bernat Blanket Yarn, it works up quickly. The size can easily be adjusted to the length and width desired. I hope you will enjoy this pattern as much as I did in designing it."

I really need to start working up more projects using blanket yarn, and this is just the thing to encourage me. This is a good pattern for a Beginner, too, as most of the project is worked flat then whip stitched into the correct shape. Even the parts that could be made as amigurumi are actually two pieces sewn together and stuffed.

A hoodie and a blankie, what a great combo. I have seen the blanket yarn in several stores but I have not worked with it yet. I want to make something with it though because it is so fluffy and soft and the skeins are huge because the yarn is so bulky. I bet it works up quickly too.

It is a wonderful yarn to work with. Plus, if you Amazon shop, you can find great prices on it periodically.
