Fearless Necklace
"Make a statement with this bold, chunky crochet necklace! Crochet meets exposed wood to form striking lines, punctuated by a more delicate flower motif. I designed this pattern using wood rings that I received for free from Woodpeckers Crafts. They have an extensive catalog of all different wood products. Originally I had been thinking of crocheting all the way around the wood circles. But the wood was so smooth and even, it seemed like a shame to cover it up. "
Crochet HookD/3 or 3.25 mm hook, F/5 or 3.75 mm hook
Yarn Weight(3) Light/DK (21-24 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet GaugeExact gauge isn’t critical. Use pattern as gauge swatch: the 20 sc worked into the first ring should be able to cover half the ring without puckering or gaps.
Finished SizeInside (crochet part) of necklace is about 27 inches in circumference. Center ring and drop adds about 6 inches in length.
