Textured Headband
"A quick easy textured headband that is great on it’s own or a perfect base to add some detail. This is a staple that I use all the time and sell at my craft shows. This pattern uses medium worsted weight yarn and size I crochet hook. You will also need a large button (1-1/4") for the closure. This project works up fast and is easy to follow, you will want to make one in every color!"
Crochet HookI/9 or 5.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

This is a fairly easy pattern to work up, but be warned, this is a very thick headband. Its actually more like an ear warmer. I experimented with different widths as the same technique is used regardless of width. You just need to make sure your patterned row has an odd number of stitches. Also, Row 10 needs to be slightly clarified. You will be ALTERNATING FPDC with SC across the row, and thats not completely clear.

Now that my hair has grown out on the top and the nape, I will have enough hair to show popping up and out of a crocheted headband/earwarmer! I don't like to wear hats because I like to keep my short hair styled just right and I feel that a hat ruins my hard work. These are a great basic for the cold weather wardrobe.
