Stocking Ornament/Gift Card Holder
"Why give just a gift card as a gift this year when you can whip up one of these adorable stocking ornaments? A card slides easily into the stocking and when they have used the gift card, they still have an ornament for their tree that they can reuse year after year. This pattern uses nothing but chains, single crochets and slip stitches. The PDF contains numerous photo tutorials for stitch placement and other various instructions so that you can easily repeat the pattern. You can definitely make one of these stockings in one evening!"

I am a fan of making items that can be gifts for all occasions. Here is an opportunity to make an item that can be used a part of a gift. These little stocking ornaments are cute.

I made some similar ones last year and they were a big hit. For certain family members I embroidered their names on the top and hung them on the tree. I also put one with some candy inside my grand daughters stocking. She was thrilled to get a stocking in a stocking!

I love to get and to give gift cards. What a special way to present them to the ones you love. Such a simple design and can be used as a decoration on the tree until delivered to the recipient. The recipient can use it the following year as decoration on their own tree. A multilevel gift.

Its the time of the year to start thinking about who you will be buying gifts for this year. Christmas is only a couple of weeks away. I know, it doesnt seem like it should be here so soon, but it will be here before we know it. Handmade items like this give those gift cards a more personal touch and can be reused by the receiver as an ornament.
