Quick and Easy Christmas Bells
"This is a very simple pattern - quick to work up and great for a last minute embellishment for your gifts, or to decorate your tree. You can easily make these in multiple colors of yarn; or a solid color. I suggest you attach a jingle bell inside the crocheted bell form to make it ring. Embellish the outside with small yarn stitches, embroidery, beads or sequins to sparkle in the lights on your tree. These bells do not require blocking or shaping. If they do become misshapen after being packed away for a season, simply spray them with water and hand shape them and let them dry. A solid colored bell can be a beginner level project and can be crocheted quite quickly. Each bell took me less than 10 minutes to make and I am not a very fast crocheter! Great as stash buster projects too as they require very little yarn to make."

I actually worked up a couple of these bells in white so I could use them as a wedding gift topper. I have tried for years to make fluffy ribbon bows, and I am just hopeless. I usually wind up with those pull types, and they look cheap and fake. Now I gift wrap with colorful yarn, lots of Curly Cues, and crocheted motifs. That way they become part of the gift.
