Crochet Star Granny Garland
Christmas garlands dress a room in holiday style, and although this one does not include silver bells, it can make any mantel feel cheery. The classic red and green immediately bring the Christmas season to mind, and when strung up together over a fireplace these crochet stars look beautiful with stockings hung between. If you like the pattern, but don't want a garland, these stars would look great as ornaments, are large enough to be potholders, and can make a pretty gift topper if you run out of ribbon.

Granny squares are one of my favorite things to crochet. The reason, the possibilities you have with granny squares are endless. With this crochet star granny square, you can have a garland or individual ornaments or gift adornments. Again, endless. Love this.

These Granny square stars are darling. My Christmas decor colors are not the typical red and green so I will use my pastel pink with a complimenting color of off-white. I am hoping to make several of these prior to Thanksgiving so I can have them to hang the following weekend.

I just love these Granny Stars! I saw these, and immediately thought of all the different things I could make just by changing the hook and yarn size. The original pattern calls for an H hook which makes them work out fairly small, but appropriately sized for a garland. But wouldnt it make a colorful hotpad or even pot scrubbie using different hook and yarn? Might even get Dear Hubby to help with the washing up!

This is a very easy, pretty pattern.i want to make it for my Jewish friend because this is not a Christmas star, it's the Star of David. And this year Hannukah runs from December 24-Jan 1. So we can celebrate together. I need to do it in the tradition colors of white and blue. Thank you for sharing such a pretty, easy and versatile pattern

I absolutely love this crocheted Christmas Star Garland! This pattern shows up every year on Pinterest and is pinned repeatedly, as it is everyone's favorite. The designer gives you detailed written pattern instructions, as well as a great photo tutorial. She even includes her special crochet technique that makes the stars puff up for a great textured look!
