Crochet Deer Applique
"This is the pattern for a deer appliqué, there's also a free video tutorial available on my YouTube channel. I’ve used 4 ply cotton and a 1.25mm crochet hook but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with. I used brown, cream, black and white cotton or wool a crochet hook and scissors. Thread to sew together, a sewing needle and a darning needle to weave in ends. I've used the applique to decorate items such as towels, bibs or shirts."
Crochet Hook10 or 1.3 mm hook (steel)
Yarn Weight(2) Fine (23-26 stitches to 4 inches)
Finished Size4.5" x 2.5" (10.5cm x 7cm)

I love appliqus, and this is one of the most adorable Ive seen. The designer takes you step by step through the entire project using both an instructional video and individual photos. I can think of about 20 different uses right off the bat including a festive pin and a holiday tree ornament. If you want a more 3D look, you can add an additional body and head piece to the back and lightly stuff them.
