Cozy Cottage Christmas Stocking
This is a classic and elegant stocking, full of rich texture. The stocking is worked from the cuff down. The cuff is a ribbed, knit look and the main body has a simple stitch combination that results in lots of texture. I’ve added a video tutorial to help you understand the anatomy of a stocking and take you step by step through this one. No more fumbling over those heel short rows! Size: approximately 5.5” x 15” (easily adjusted) Worked in bulky weigh #5 yarn, however, would would well in other weights too.
Crochet HookJ/10 or 6 mm hook
Yarn Weight(5) Bulky/Chunky (12-15 stitches for 4 inches)

I love the rustic, chunky look of this stocking. Even though its not exactly designed to do so, doesnt it look cozy enough to wear? Even if you dont plan to make this particular project but do want to make socks in the future, watch her tutorial video. The part where she starts working the turned heel is just about halfway through it.

Awesome stocking in neutral colors that is not like your typical mass-produced Christmas stocking. Santa might be surprised if he visits you house and sees one of these stockings hanging from your fireplace mantle instead of the same old ones that he is used to seeing everywhere. You might get a little extra gift?

This is one of the most adorable stockings I've ever seen. It's a gorgeous alternative to the felt ones I have hanging up at home!

This is a cute stocking. I usually don't like grey but on this it works. It gives a very elegant look. And after reading the directions, it's going to be a very easy one to make. I know someone who would really appreciate this. Her home is very classic and done in greys taupe and white.
