Easy Light Frost Crochet Blanket Sweater Shrug
"This beautiful shrug is so easy to make as it's crocheted as a basic rectangle and then folded and seamed to create the sleeves. You will find an entire stitch tutorial as well as a written pattern with the gorgeous sweater. It's made with a stitch that is super simple, yet it creates a knit look in some portions of the shrug. Pick up some self striping yarn and get started today on this beauty! It makes a wonderful year round piece."

I had to read all the way down to the bottom to figure out the size. Thank you so much for the information on how to make the item larger. This Lion Brand Scarfie yarn makes a nice striping effect. Noticed in the directions that it can not be found everywhere. I hope I can locate it.

I have seen this pattern around the internet, but this will be the first time I have taken a good look at it. I am happy to learn that it uses a great new yarn from Lion Brand, the "Scarfie" yarn! I used the mint/gray colorway to make an extra long skinny scarf. It comes out so precise and the finished look is very professional. This blanket sweater/shrug will be the perfect project choice for the Scarfie yarn, for sure. I may use a size or two larger in my hook to keep it from working up too stiff and bulky, but it's beautiful!

Are they calling these pieces of apparel "blanket" because it is essentially a blanket strategically sewn together to make a wearable piece of clothing? I think this was a genius idea. This would be a great project for a beginner and wind up with a very useful piece.

The easy crochet blanket sweater shrug looks exactly like it sounds. Its a blanket and its a shrug all in one. The fringe on the edging gives it a little more of a stylish look. The bulky thread makes it work up rather quickly and the stitching is simple and very easy to follow along with the pattern.

Now why have I never thought of this? I love this Easy Light Frost Crochet Blanket Sweater Shrug. The pattern is well written and reads well, I can see this coming together nicely. I would love to have this to use while camping for the cool nights our just sitting at home crocheting. I like that there is a video showing how to do the stitch for the ones who need it. Love it!! Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
