It amazes me how popular Hello Kitty remains, even outside of Japan. This is a nice take on the motif, and I especially love the red soles. I do take exception with the eyes. I would replace the buttons with something else. Safety eyes arent an option in this case, so it might be best to either work small crochet circles or even embroider them on directly.
