Potholders & Dishcloths by Rita Weiss includes 15 crochet projects perfect for your kitchen. Within this collection you will find patterns for potholders, oven mitts, pan holders and dishcloths.
Each design provides clearly written crochet instructions and follows U.S. crochet terminology. The inside back cover of the book provides a stitch guide for the abbreviations used in the patterns. Within each pattern, you will find assembly and edging instructions where needed and a separate stitch guide highlighting the more advanced stitches such as popcorns, decreases and post stitches used in the pattern.
The designs range from easy to intermediate skill levels. The easy level patterns include: Pretty Petals Potholder, Wonderful Watermelon Potholder, Mr. Owl Potholder, Dandy Dishcloth, Green Dishcloth, Starfish Dishcloth, Full of Color Dishcloth, Delightful Dishcloth and Dishcloth in the Round.
The intermediate level patterns include: Fabulous Fish Potholder, Tomato Potholder, My Favorite Quarterback Potholder, Cucumber Pan Holder and my two favorites Pretty Panda Oven Mitt and Corn on the Cob Pan Holder.
The projects use either lace, super fine or medium weight (for most of the dishcloths) cotton yarns. Many designs use 2-strands of crochet thread held together.
The projects included in Crochet Potholders & Dishcloths are bright, colorful, and quick to crochet! Not to mention, they are fun and functional making them perfect for gift-giving!
