Individual Squares

search

Many free crochet patterns use individual squares. Individual squares are pretty simple. They begin with a chain and then build up by going back and forth. If attaching the individual squares together, you need to be more mindful of the sizing of the square by keeping a close eye on the stitch counts.

    Pros & Cons

    • The patterns of colour will look horizontal or solid blocks depending what you want.
    • Usually not as fun as a typical granny but that’s up to the person to determine what their project will be.
    • Working in a row will have more choices on what the square will be design wise as long as you follow some set of directions and are consistent.
