Rectangular Stitch Baby Blanket

The Rectangular Stitch Baby Blanket is a twist on the regular granny square. This baby crochet afghan can be used as a stroller blanket or a crib blanket. The crochet design is fun to work up as the colors blend together. This is an intermediate crochet pattern that uses quite a few different stitches, including the puff stitch. This is a fun design once you learn how to crochet a blanket.

This is just the ultimate Granny Stitch baby blanket except that youre working an expanding set of rectangles instead of a square. I actually like this shape better than a square baby blanket because that extra length comes in handy. Plus, since babies and children have a curious habit of getting taller, so this shaped blanket lets the baby continue to use it well into toddlerhood.
