This is just perfect. I like the idea of making my own garter because I can make sure it fits properly. And match the color to my theme colors. I have rhinestones to hot glue on to it too. Thus is going to really be fun and pretty. Thank you do much.

We have a wedding coming up in the next few months, and Ill be happy to pass this garter idea on to the prospective bride. I love the notion of using materials already at hand, but I had no idea you could dye elastic. Most garters Ive seen have a blue ribbon or something similar threaded through the middle. I havent seen colored elastic, but Ill look around now.

This is so pretty. I do have a question. How would you sew the elastic using the sewing machine? Thanks for the pattern.
