Start with a chain.
Double crochet in the 4th stitch from the hook.

Two rows of cross stitch completed.

Wow, I love this How to Make a Cross Stitch tutorial. It looks so easy to do and the pictures make it great! I made a cowl using the Cross Stitch, but my crosses were in front not from the back, but it still looks great. Now that I know the right way to make the stitch, it will look better. I want to make the man's scarf with the pattern above, it looks so unique I have to do it. Thank you so much for this free crochet tutorial.

Hey...People... this is the COOL-est stitch I have done or seen in a coons-age... try it you .. I promise will love it.. I watch it on Michael Sellick video.. Thanks so much Michael...Linda in Tucson az I going to try this, doing a tie for a very good freinds SON.
