Effortless Crochet Shawl

This beautiful triangle shawl is a great crochet pattern to make because it's surprisingly quick and easy to work up, and it can also be worn in a variety of different ways. Wear the Effortless Crochet Shawl around your neck, around your shoulders, or even wrap it around your head. The tassels are an optional finishing touch, and the crocheted shawl is worked starting from the base of the triangle. It measures 64 inches wide by 24 inches deep.

Great pattern. Love this color, but I altered it a little also by edging all of the sides. I have gotten many compliments each time I have worn it. I love this pattern and I plan on making a few as gifts for the girls that have given me to most comments on this. Thanks.

This lovely and feminine shawl gets it drape from using a fingering weight yarn and an "F" hook. I say you could even use a medium weight yarn and a hook maybe two sizes up and you'd have a little bit chunkier shawl but still retain the drape, if that makes any sense. The pink color is so pretty in my opinion!

I like that this pattern does decreases to turn it into a triangle versus starting with increase end. It uses an easy lace stitch pattern, which I love, and it can be worn so many ways. I love big shawls that can be worn like a large stylish scarf. I can't wait to try this pattern.

The link to get the free crochet pattern took me to the website Crochet Dreamz. There was no problem loading the page and the pictures loaded with no hesitation from waiting for all the embedded ads. I saw a lot of pictures of the shawl with various ways to wear it. The pattern is written in standard American terms which always gets an A from me.

It was the word effortless in the title that first drew me to this shawl. Other busy moms will know exactly what I am talking aboutlol Then, having looked at it, I saw that it is really beautiful to so double bonus! Has anyone already made it? I am just curious to know whether it really is as easy as the name suggests?

Thanks for the direct link Zeemer! I fell in love with this shawl just from the picture and could see making this in multiple different colors to go with tons of outfits! I love the fringe along the edge as well.
