Wool yarn often times can be ichy and unpleasant. I personally am very sensitive to wool, so I cannot wear all the beautiful winter patterns out there. Luckily, I found Cascade Superwash Wool Yarn to be a nice yarn. Although it is wool, it doesn't seem to be as scratchy as most; it's a bit softer.
Cascade Superwash is made of 100% wool, and is the perfect combination of quality, versatility and affordability. Each hank comes in an amazing 220 yards and can be used for both knitting and crocheting. With a fabulous color palette to choose from, you're sure to find the exact color you've been looking for for your next project.
With over 100 colors to choose from, the toughest part about working up your crochet pattern will be deciding what colors go together! My favorites are Berry Pink, Doeskin Heather, Amethyst Heather, Como Blue, Emerald City, and Teal. Seriously, there are so many colors to choose from.
This yarn is machine washable, but it is noted that it is not recommended for felting projects because of the superwash feature. What's great about Superwash is that it doesn't pill, so you don't have to worry about it ruining the look of your project.
You can work up just about anything using this yarn; it's labeled as a worsted weight, but you can easily use it as a fine weight as well. Sweaters, socks, mittens and scarves would look beautiful in Cascade Superwash. With its warmth and softness, it will look and feel great once your project is worked up. Get rid of your fear of wool with Cascade Superwash Wool Yarn.
