Camouflage Scarf

search

The best thing about this Camouflage Scarf? It'll make your husband or son feel like a little boy playing G.I. Joe again! Free crochet scarf patterns like this are great crochet designs to make any time of year. This is an intermediate crochet pattern because the crossed double crochet stitch is used, which might need some practicing ahead of time.

This scarf is worked in Double Crochet Cross Stitch, one of my favorite decorative stitches. Since Im making this for my son, the Big Game Hunter, Ill actually be using the DOUBLE DC Cross Stitch so it will be bulkier for those cool mornings. Ive already got plenty of yarn for this project as my son literally brought five skeins to my house and said, Here, Mommy, make me a hat. The hat took less than one skein, so the scarf will be a surprise.

I have a question about the 4.5mm crochet hook stated as needed. I have G/6-4.25 aluminum crochet hook. Is that the correct one to use?

This can also be made using a varigated yarn for girls, the pink camo or the blue/brown/tan camo is my choice. That way, it may cover both sexes, with the blue/brown/tan. If it's too dark it won't be seen. I like this lighter camo and the one for the desert camo is good too.
