Cotton Crochet Table Runner

Add a homemade touch to your dining room table with the Cotton Crochet Table Runner. This free crochet pattern is wonderful to use during the holidays - use it outside during your July 4th picnic, or decorate your dinner table with it on Thanksgiving. Cotton yarn (in three different colors) is used to complete this crocheted table runner which measures 32 inches long by 14 inches wide. To make matching crochet tablecloths, simply adjust the length.

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

I dont know if its the designers choice of color, but this project doesnt appeal to me at all. I do like the open texture work and the Picot and Spike Stitches used in the border. It just seems that much of the detail gets lost with the variegated yarn. I may try working up a swatch in a solid color and see if thats more to my taste.
