Use less than one skein of yarn with this Kids Earflap Hat. The crochet hat pattern shown takes two strands of yarn together and is made to fit a 19" head circumference. You can also make this hat with only one strand of yarn for any size from preemie up to youth with different yarn weights and hook sizes. This hat is the perfect blank slate for any crafter. The designer specifically focuses on one specific size (19 inch head circumference) although she does give links for several smaller sizes. This size uses 2 strands worked together while the smaller sizes only require one. The biggest difference is where to place the earflaps. The hat itself is fairly universal, but the earflaps are not.

I can see the pattern just fine on firefox!

Tried to access the pattern too and it opens and then goes blank.

Hi, evelynden97 3992609. To access the pattern, please click the link that says, "Click here for crochet pattern." A new window should open directing you to the pattern in full on the pattern designer's website. Hope this helps! --Editors of AllFreeCrochet

I am using Google Chrome and had no trouble getting to the pattern. Internet Explorer has lots of issues which is why I switched to Google Chrome. Can't wait to try this cute pattern!
